It’s All About Us

The Menopause Mafia was Started by the Fabulous Brooks Sisters

We have had a couple of interesting years recently. The loss of our father and grandmother were wake-up calls.  We realized when Grandma Brooks and Dad had both passed that family really is the most important thing and in our case the relationship the three of us have.

We have so many memories of our Grandma Brooks, which we went over at length at her grave the day she was buried (we have pictures) but that’s another story.  Our aunts, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, sisters, cousins…in our family we have an abundance of females and we revel in it. Hell, we intentionally use it to make the men in our family uncomfortable on occasion (Mmmmm, power). Don’t get us wrong we can go on and on about our Dad and Grandpa Brooks who we miss every day, but we realized that the time we spend with other women made a huge impact on our lives. These are the relationship that carry us through the rough times, celebrate with us during the highs, share all of the boring stuff that comes between.

In the spirit of sisterhood we have started the Menopause Mafia! We will bring together friends, family and complete strangers off the street to entertain you, encourage you and maybe even challenge you every once in a while! This will be a place where you can be yourself. Bring your hot flashes, attitude, extra pounds, pain in the ass families and general silly crap in life. Nothing will be off limits- imagine we are sitting at the kitchen table together- join the conversation, start a discussion or share a story.
